Procedures and time frame of the Dominica
Citizenship by Investment Program
Applicants and dependent family members aged 16 and older must participate in mandatory virtual interviews conducted through a secure platform. Additionally, they must take an oath of allegiance before an authorized notary, justice of the peace, or commissioner of oaths. Following the allegiance pledge, the citizenship application undergoes further processing, and citizenship certificates are duly issued.

While there is no physical residence requirement, the government encourages new citizens to actively engage in the economy by offering substantial incentives to encourage increased involvement. Successful applicants have the right to reside in Dominica at any time and for any duration. However, applicants who have been denied a visa to a country with which Dominica has a visa-free travel agreement must subsequently obtain a visa from that country to be eligible to apply.

Applications are handled by a citizenship by investment unit, a specialized government authority within the Ministry of Finance responsible for managing the program. Currently, processing times for applications are three months from the receipt of a fully completed application.
